This Conference will explore good practice ideas on how to keep equality and diversity on the strategic and operational agenda in the current economic climate.

We recently took part in a documentary "My Secret Past" about one of our patrons, Gareth Thomas. In the programme, Gareth explored coming out as gay and attended a Diversity Role Model workshop with Suran Dickson, our CEO.

Just over a year ago, I met a soon-to-be ex teacher to discuss a play I was writing. The play is still in development, the teacher went on to set up Diversity Role Models. One year on the charity is proving a vital resource to schools, teachers and young people, and last night won Community Group of the Year award at the Attitude Awards.
