Everyday heroes helping everyday students
Our friendly, positive role models help to promote acceptance and understanding of difference. They come from a variety of backgrounds but all of them believe that embracing diversity makes society a richer place in which we are all able to achieve our best and be happy.

Bindya
"My name is Bindya Solanki, I'm a British Asian of Gujarati decent. I grew up in the UK in a traditional home with an Indian traditional way of life. When I realised and then accepted I was gay I couldn't imagine a day where I would be at family functions with my partner in tow. I couldn't see a day where my family would welcome my partner in their life and home. But for me that day has finally arrived and I believe that more education around LGBT concerns will only strengthen each generation in knowing that if you or a family member is LGBT, then it's ok. I'm supporting Diversity Role Models because I believe that every human deserves human rights. We need to educate society to realise that every person has the right to love and be who they are, without fear of bullying, and judgement. Teaching young people about different sexualities is vital to the development and happiness of each generation. Only when we accept and understand each other can homophobic bullying stop."
