Julie Eason

Director of Fundraising

Julie started her career as Vice President of the National Union of Students . She entered the UK Civil service in 1999 on the fast-stream, becoming PPS to the Permanent Secretary at the Cabinet Office and setting up the first civil service LGBT network.  After a stint as the Director of Housing and Social Policy for the New South Wales Government in Sydney Australia; Julie returned to the UK civil service, then moved into the Voluntary Sector spending the next 6 years in the Advice and advocacy sector, as a Director of Fundraising / Partnerships manager. In 2014 she set up her own business as a fundraising consultant, working with a plethora of local and national charities. Julie works three days a week as our Director of Fundraising, and combines this with her consultancy business. She is a full member of the Institute of Fundraising.

As an out bisexual, a parent and an LGBT activist, it is a honour to be working for Diversity Role Models. It’s more than a job; it’s a passion and a privilege to support children and young people to be safe and free from bullying.
