Alex Feis-Bryce, CEO (he/him)

A respected figure in the third sector, Alex Feis-Bryce is an accomplished leader with nearly a decade of experience as CEO and Trustee of several small and medium-sized charities. With this wealth of experience Alex stands as a powerful advocate for human rights and social justice, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. With an impressive track record, including being shortlisted for the PinkNews Local Leader in 2022, Alex's leadership style is characterised by a commitment to amplifying the voices and experiences of the LGBTQ+ community, fostering social change, and driving innovative solutions in the pursuit of equality for all.

Jac Bastian, Chief Education Officer (he/him)

Jac has worked in the education sector for a decade, engaging young people in political and social issues and is committed to empowering students, staff, and the whole school community to create truly inclusive schools. Since joining DRM in 2016 he’s delivered anti-bullying workshops and training sessions to students, staff, governors, parents/carers, and workplaces in a wide range of settings. Originally from Swansea he now lives in South London and loves languages, literature, politics, and pumpkin-growing.

Emma Miller-McCaffrey, Head of Relationships (she/they)

Emma started her career as a Secondary Drama Teacher for 9 years and has since volunteered and worked for various LGBTQ+ charities. She is passionate about authenticity and all of us recognising our strength in being individual. In 2013, Emma began volunteering with Diversity Role Models as a Role Model in Liverpool. Now working hybrid between Liverpool and London, Emma is the lead on relationships, promoting volunteer, corporate funding, and fundraising opportunities. She lives with her wife, and former DRM trustee, Ann, and their daughter whom they adopted during the pandemic. In her spare time, she volunteers for Adoption UK running their LGBTQ+ adopter support group.

Mitchell Porter, Head of Operations (they/them)

Prior to DRM, Mitchell worked in a variety of educational and non-profit settings. They are passionate about Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Activism, and specialise in LGBTQ+ issues and communities. With a strong background in facilitation and training, they enjoy collaborating and solving problems (sometimes involving board games).

Darius Gervinskas, Education Officer (Greater London & South East) (she/they)

With over four years of experience, Darius is a dedicated access worker for learning-disabled, autistic, and other disabled adults. They've collaborated closely with LGBTQ+ and disabled artists, fostering accessibility in the UK's arts and culture scene. Holding a Master's Degree in Human Rights from UCL, Darius focused on international human rights law and UN mechanisms. They've also contributed to LGBTQ+ organisations like ILGA World, IGLYO, and LGBT Foundation. Darius excels in education, workshop facilitation, and project management, residing in London and finding joy in ice skating, reading, and nature.

Luis La Fauci, Education Officer (Greater London & South East) (he/they)

Hailing from Southern Italy, Luis began his career as a doctoral researcher focussing on LGBTQ+ and disenfranchised populations. He then worked at LEGO and, through his involvement in Diversity and Inclusion there, came in contact with DRM and joined the team with his passion for human development and social justice. He has lived in ten cities and five countries (his favourite is Madrid where he moved to learn the language); he is studying a Masters in Psychology, lives in London and is passionate about reading, arts and dancing.

Kate Hutchinson, Education Manager (North West) (she/her)

Kate has been involved with many organisations and charities campaigning for LGBTQ+ rights since 2012. A large part of her work focus has been on school inclusion for transgender youth and has advised teaching unions, schools, and local authorities on the subject. She lives in North Wales with her cat Geralt and plays Bass in a rock band.

Anne de A'Echevarria, Education Officer (Greater North) (she/her)

Anne has been an educator for 30 years, first as a teacher then as a creative learning consultant and author. She is committed to engaging learners of all ages in deeper thinking and understanding, fostering the disposition and language needed to reflect on our values and explore what it means to become reasoning and reasonable members of our communities. She lives with her partner and son in Northumberland and loves walking in the hills and learning to play new instruments.

Lindsey Parr, Education Project Manager (she/her)

Lindsey has worked in education since 2005 as a secondary RE, Drama, Music and PSHE teacher. Previously a Pastoral Lead, she strives to empower students to be their true selves and celebrate their differences, as well as differences in others. She has a passion for promoting inclusion and diversity in the curriculum and supporting schools in creating an ethos and community where all feel valued. Originally from St. Helens but living in Leeds, Lindsey enjoys football, all things Lego, music and travelling with her two dogs Peppa and Buddy.

Helen lsIan, Marketing & Communications Manager (she/her)

With over 20 years in marketing, Helen has worked with a wide variety of household name brands, retailers, sectors, and services. Helen has been involved in trans equality and is passionate about LGBTQ+ advocacy and environmental issues. Helen uses much of her spare time to support and progress equality initiatives and work towards a green, sustainable, and equitable future. When not working, Helen can be found watching Netflix, Amazon Prime, or binging boxsets while eating socially distanced Häagen Dazs ice cream.
