Diversity Role Models has applied for £10,000 of funding from the Aviva Community Fund for an exciting project in Barking and Dagenham, to challenge prejudice and tackle anti-LGBT bullying. Working in conjunction with the local Healthy Schools team, this would allow us to deliver a day of our pupil workshops in all the borough’s secondary schools in the autumn term, together with teacher training, policy review and curriculum development to make all the schools in the borough better for young people.
The first stage for our project, ‘Challenging prejudice in Barking and Dagenham’, is to get through a public vote, which is open now. Forget the General Election, it's time to cast your votes!
Simply click the link on the page to register and log in. Each registered user gets TEN votes. All you need to do is click on the ‘Vote’ button and choose the number of votes you want to cast!
The public vote is open to all UK residents who register on the Aviva Community Fund website, so please do share this with all your networks. You, your friends and family and your communities have until 30 May to register and vote.
With apologies to politicians across the UK – but THIS is the vote that counts this week!
