Diversity Role Models seeks to end bullying in UK schools by providing opportunities for young people to embrace difference. We stop bullying before it happens by educating staff, parents and young people about difference, challenging stereotypes and addressing the misuse of language. Our current workshops feature positive LGBT role models who speak directly to young people about their experiences. Our ambition is to develop wider inclusion opportunities and provide role models across all of the strands.
Founded in 2011, we are a highly ambitious charity, whose reach has grown significantly in recent years. So far we have worked with over 260 schools and reached over 58,000 young people across the UK.
This is an exciting, home-based opportunity to co-ordinate Diversity Role Models’ activity in the North West region, from engaging schools to facilitating workshops. You'll manage all of the administrative tasks involved in this and build a community of volunteer Role Models to help us grow our reach in this area of the country.
Please see the job description for full details of the post. If you wish to have an informal discussion about the opportunity, please contact Gemma Curtis on firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 3795 9201.
The dealine for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 9 May 2017. Interviews will be held w/c Monday 15 May 2017.
