Celebrating a Milestone

Diversity Role Models is thrilled to announce a significant achievement in our ongoing mission to foster inclusivity and acceptance in the education system. We have now reached over 200,000 young people through our impactful LGBTQ+ Anti-Bullying school workshops. This milestone underscores our commitment to creating a learning environment where every young person feels valued and supported, regardless of who they are.

Increasing Engagement

In the past academic year, Diversity Role Models accelerated its engagement by an impressive 115% in the number of student workshops delivered, leading to this momentous achievement in the charity's growth. This accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without the generous funding from the Department for Education and the unwavering support of our corporate partners.

Creating Sector-Leading Educational Content Through The Power Of Storytelling

A heartfelt thank you also goes out to over 300 volunteers, staff, and educational partners who have contributed to creating sector-leading educational content through the power of storytelling.

Our vision at Diversity Role Models is clear: a world where diversity is not just acknowledged but embraced, where all individuals can thrive, and where we can put an end to LGBTQ+ bullying. Since our inception in 2011, we have profoundly impacted the lives of over 200,000 young people, and we have ambitious aims to reach 300,000.

Our approach involves direct engagement with close to 1,000 schools, where we deliver classroom sessions to young people and provide training to nearly 20,000 school staff members. The heart of our efforts lies in our Volunteer and Role Model-led workshops, which have garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The impact is evident

100% of Primary staff think the student workshops will help students to respect each other and their differences, and an impressive 95% of primary students say they will respect people who are different to them after one of our primary sessions.

Diversity Role Models goes beyond traditional workshops. We offer training sessions for school staff, governors, and parents/carers, and produce educational resources aimed at creating a future generation that not only accepts but supports and celebrates differences, irrespective of social identity.

Help Us Reach 300,000 Young People With Our LGBTQ+ Anti-Bullying Workshops

As we celebrate this milestone, we renew our dedication to the cause. Our work is far from over, and with the continued support of our partners, volunteers, and educators, we are confident that we can reach our goal of impacting 300,000 young lives. Together, we can build a world where every young person knows they belong and can thrive, just as they are.
