Our video resources are the perfect tool to bring your lesson or assembly for LGBT+ History Month to life. Our inspiring volunteer Role Models, as well as pivotal figures and moments in in LGBTQ+ history, will empower young people to be upstanders against prejudice and bullying.

Secondary Role Model Story: Emma's Story

This personal story from our inspiring Role Model Emma explores the importance of standing up for others. It’s the perfect resource to accompany your lessons or assembly for LGBT+ History Month. The video has a free teaching resource containing a range of other inspiring videos themed around LGBTQ+ History, complete with questions, activity ideas and quality resource to empower your students to be upstanders against prejudice and bullying this LGBT+ History Month.

Primary Role Model Story: Paul's Story

Our wonderful Role Model Paul shares his story about his civil partner, their daughter and their grandchildren. He shares how he felt different from a young age and how he later came out as gay to a friend. Paul is a vicar in the Church of England and talks about the importance of being kind and having courage. This story, along with those of Tilla, Simon and Steve form part of our LGBTQ+ History and Rights resource for Years 5+, which is the perfect pack to support LGBT+ History Month lessons and assemblies.
